Silvio de Gracia from Argentina recently announced a copy-art project called "Body & Copy". The works will become part of the Hotel DaDA-archives.
Here is the curriculum from Hotel DaDA:
De Gracia was born in Junín, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He is writer, visual artist,
performer, video artist and independent curator. Since 1996, he has
been directing Ediciones El Candirú, which has published several books
and magazines. At present, he directs and edits the international
magazine of mail art and visual poetry HOTEL DaDA. Like theoretical, he
has published articles and essays in specialized magazines and
websites.
As video artist, he has exhibited his work in important shows and
festivals in Mexico, France, Spain, Argentina, USA, Cuba, Russia,
Belgium, Italy, Serbia, Romania and Estonia. He has presented his
performances and conferences in Canada, Argentina, Uruguay and Chile.
As independent curator, he has organized several international
projects: "Freedom for Latin America" (2004); PLAY - International
Video Art Festival (2004/2006); INTERFERENCIAS - International Action
Art Meeting (2005); Festival de la interferencia - In memoriam Edgardo
Antonio Vigo (2007). |
